Mary Howard, 88, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. Born May 3, 1925 in Opelika, Alabama she graduated from Auburn University with a Master's Degree in Education. IN 1959 she moved to Jacksonville and taught Physical Education at Dupont Junior and Senior High School where she coached the swim team. Later moving to Wolfson High School as Dean of Girls and then to Douglas Anderson as Assistant Principal of Dean of Girls. She retired in 1985. Mary enjoyed playing golf and spending time with her faithful dog, Paris. She is survived by her brother, Winston Howard, and was predeceased by her mother, Mrs. Maude Daniels. Interment took place in Oaklawn Cemetery. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, THE OAKLAWN CHAPEL.
