Kenneth Blakeslee (Asst Principal)

Dr. Kenneth Wallace Blakeslee, 83, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009. He was a loving husband, caring uncle and friend to all who knew him. Kenneth was born in Scranton, PA. to the late Edward and Verna Blakeslee. He was a retired Duval County Public School teacher, administrator and Navy Veteran. Kenneth graduated from East Carolina Teachers College and attended Duke University. He was a long time member and Sunday School teacher at Arlington United Methodist Church. Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hilda Blakeslee. Left to cherish his memory is his sister-in-law Maryce (Clark) Bradshaw; niece Mary Susan Pruitt; nephews Steven Justice and Craig Justice; adopted nieces Denise Jacobs, Paula Davis (god-daughter), Carol Morton; adopted nephews Hoyt Davis, George Mann Jr. and Rev. Kenneth Mann; numerous other loving nieces, nephews and long time friends Hoyt and Ann Davis, Mary Jo and Henry Goethe. Family will be receiving friends at Arlington Park Cemetery for a Graveside service that will be officiated by Reverend Kenneth Mann on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Arlington United Methodist Church or Community Hospice of North Florida.
