Leslie Jean Villeneuve VIEW PROFILE

Leslie Jean Villeneuve passed away June 28, 2012, in Raleigh N.C. after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born in Jacksonville, Fl. in 1951 to the late John W. Villeneuve, Jr. and Jeannette P. Villeneuve. He grew up in Jacksonville and attended Wolfson High School, and was employed by JEA . He retired from JEA in 1999. Not one to be idle, he joined the staff at Christ the Redeemer Church, and later at Isle of Faith Methodist church. Les enjoyed his work maintaining and repairing mechanical systems. He believed in the value of preventive maintenance and was diligent in caring for his responsibilities. Les considered his work a ministry and looked for ways to bless others. In all his life he was caring and patient. Les desired and practiced putting others before himself . His love of the Lord showed in his excellence as a husband, father, and friend. Most of his adult life he resided in Neptune Beach with his family. Leslie in survived by his wife of 37 years, Ellen Henley Villeneuve, his sons Eric A. (wife Amelia) Villeneuve and S. Carey Villeneuve, his grandchildren, Jadon, Piper, & Samantha, his sisters Joan Dunn and Mary Carter, and his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, his son Brant R. Villeneuve, and his brother John W. Villeneuve, III. A memorial service will be held at Christ the Redeemer Church, 190 Roscoe Blvd South, Ponte Vedra Beach on July 14 at 2:00pm with reception following service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Brant Villeneuve Memorial Scholarship through Christ the Redeemer Church or Youth Quake Live.
