In Memory

Adam Harry Brut (Jr)

On Thursday, May 20, 2021, Adam Harry Brut Jr., treasured husband and father of two daughters went to be with the Lord at the age of 70 in Jacksonville, Florida. Harry was born on April 8, 1951 to Adam and Mary Brut in Jacksonville, Fl. He fell in love with Dianne Shuman, with whom he went to school since the second grade, and they married on August 14, 1976. They would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this year. Harry and Dianne are the proud parents of two daughters, Krista Brut Rose and Jennalee Brut Garces. Harry had a passion for many things. He loved to worship with his guitar at church and was a member of many worship teams over the years. In the earlier years Harry was a hot air balloon pilot. He loved offshore fishing, and fished in many a kingfish tournament over the years. Later he earned his pilot's license and enjoyed flying the family on his plane. Harry was an avid golfer and loved golfing with his Friday golf buddies. One of Harry's greatest accomplishments was his company. He helped his father start Brut Printing Company in their garage in 1967 eventually taking over in 1978, and he grew the company into the successful business it is today. He was proud to have the third generation working alongside him since 2003 when his daughter Krista joined the company. Harry was known for his quick wit and awful dad jokes, but the title he will always be remembered as - "The Boss."  Harry was preceded in death by his father, Adam Harry Brut Sr, and his mother Mary Murphy Brut. He is survived by his wife Dianne, his two daughters Krista (John) and Jennalee (Lucas), his grandchildren Ellie, Jack and Cole, and his sisters Polly, Elsie and Betty Jo. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2pm and the service will be held at 2pm. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Brut Family Foundation which will be donated to Living Waters Ministry – one of Harry's favorite ministries that he has supported over the years.
Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel.
