Betty Jean Hadden (Mixon)

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the age of 72, Betty Jean Hadden Mixon went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on June 14, 1951, in Jacksonville, as the third child of J.C. and Ruby Hadden.
She treasured the time spent with her family, possessed a deep affection for singing and music, and was an avid football fan. Her legacy will forever be marked by her unwavering devotion to God, her radiant smile, her thoughtfulness in remembering birthdays and anniversaries, and the significant impact she had on the lives of her nieces, nephews, and all the children she cared for as a babysitter.
Surviving family members include her brothers, Eddie Hadden Sr. (Annie) and Carl Hadden (Melanie), her sister, Jeanne Hayes, her late brother's wife, Deana Hadden, numerous nieces and nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews, and a large circle of cherished cousins.
Betty has now found eternal peace in the company of her beloved husband, Ronnie Mixon, her parents, J.C. Hadden and Ruby Jean Hurlbert Hadden McLanahan, her stepfather, Thomas McLanahan, and her brother, William (Bill) Hadden.
A memorial service to celebrate Betty's life is scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pentecostal Assembly - Old Country Church, located at 37299 Oxford Street, Hillard, FL 32046. Reverend Eddie Hadden Sr. will officiate the service with music provided by Dana Hammontree and Nancy Boller. A reception will follow the service.
As we say our final earthly goodbyes, we find comfort in knowing she is in the presence of the Lord, where there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. We eagerly look forward to the day when we shall be reunited with her and our many loved ones on Heaven's shore.
Local arrangements were entrusted to Schnauss Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 808 Margaret Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204.
