Kathleen Moody Wood, 67, of Jacksonville, FL passed away suddenly on November 2, 2018 following a brief illness. Born on August 14, 1951, Kathy was the daughter of the late Winifred Mensforth and Rayford Moody. She graduated from Wolfson High School in 1969, later acquiring an accounting degree from UNF and receiving her CPA accreditation. Kathy spent her professional career in the insurance industry and had been employed at Security First for the past 8 years. What Kathy enjoyed most was spending quality time with family and friends, whether vacationing on the water, cheering on her favorite sports teams, or just relaxing with a cocktail. Her quick wit, upbeat attitude and ability to make everyone feel comfortable will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Kathy is survived by her son Tony Hartley (Desiree), 5 grandchildren Jacob Hartley, Caitlynn Hartley, Colby Hartley, Gage Reilly, Dylan Sterner, brothers David Pent (Denise), Mike Pent (Pat), Bobby Moody, Bruce Moody (Angela), Ronald Mensforth Jr.(LaDonna) and sisters Sandra Wiedeman (Geoff), Linda Bielec and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, November 24, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL.
